Queen Cutlery Company: Schatt & Morgan History

Knife importers J.W. Schatt and C.B. Morgan opened their first knife making factory under the name Schatt & Morgan in New York.

They later moved to Titusville Pennsylvania. Employees of Schatt & Morgan started a side business making knives under the name Queen Cutlery Company. They even used Schatt & Morgan parts for their knives.

The employees were eventually caught and fired but Schatt & Morgan closed shop shortly after. Queen Cutlery took over Schatt and Morgan’s physical assets and officially established Queen Cutlery Company.

Original Queen and Schatt & Morgan knives are highly collectable today. Queen continued producing high quality knives and produced knives for Ka-Bar, Winchester, and Case.
