Utica Cutlery Company: Pocketknife History

Upstate New York cutlery company Utica was founded in 1910 and has produced many high quality pocketknives for the budget conscious consumer.

Some of their most popular knives include the Pocket Pard, Featherweight, Seneca, Agate Wood, American Maid, and Iroquois.

The undisputed top selling Utica knife is the Kutmaster. Utica introduced this knife in 1937 and it was wildly popular and can still be found on the collecting market today.

Utica was a large producer of private label knives and was the primary producer for knives from Montgomery Wards. The most well known model being the Jack Knife Ben. These knives are the most collectable of those Utica produced.
